Roofs

The roof covering of a wooden building is the upper envelope that plays a fundamental role in the building’s integrity and functionality. This essential part fulfills several crucial functions:

1. Protection against Infiltrations and Weather Conditions: The primary function of the roof covering is to protect the interior of the building from water infiltration, snow, rain, wind, sunlight, and other atmospheric elements. Its ability to keep the interior environment dry and shielded from weather conditions is essential for preserving the building’s structure and ensuring the comfort of the occupants.

2. Aesthetics: The roof covering greatly contributes to the building’s aesthetic appearance and can influence its overall style and harmony with the surrounding environment. The choice of material, color, and design of the roof covering can have a significant impact on the visual appearance of the building.

Our Suggestions

Bituminous Shingles

We offer bituminous shingles in three colors: green, red, and black. These shingles are designed to provide a lightweight, durable, and waterproof roofing solution for homes and buildings.
The key features and benefits of bituminous shingles include:

1. Waterproofing: Thanks to their bitumen-based structure, bituminous shingles offer high waterproofing, ensuring effective protection against water infiltration.

2. Lightweight: These shingles are lighter compared to some other roofing options, making the installation process easier.

3. Durability: Bituminous shingles are designed to withstand weather conditions, including UV rays, wind, and rain.

4. Easy Installation: They are relatively easy to install, which can reduce labor costs.

5. Affordable Price: Bituminous shingles are generally among the most affordable roofing options, making them a popular choice for homeowners.

6. Sound Insulation: Bituminous shingles provide some degree of sound insulation, reducing noise caused by rain or wind.

7. Low Maintenance: They require minimal or no maintenance, apart from occasional cleaning and condition checks.

The shingles we offer are made of 6 layers:

Protective silicone layer.
Self-adhesive bitumen layer.
Bitumen layer.
Fiberglass layer.
Bituminous layer.
Surface mineral granule layer.

Bituminous shingles are a versatile and reliable option for residential, commercial, and industrial roofing. It is recommended to consult a professional to determine if bituminous shingles are the right choice for your roofing project.

Bituminous Membrane

For flat or single-pitched roofs, we offer a self-adhesive polymer elastomer bituminous waterproofing membrane, which is easily applied by pressure at room temperature. The upper side of the membrane is self-protected with anti-slip slate flakes.
The bituminous membrane is composed of three layers:

  • Bottom finish: An elastomeric self-adhesive mass protected by a removable silicone film.
  • Reinforcement: A stabilized composite polyester nonwoven fabric.
  • Top finish: Slate flakes.

The bituminous membrane offers benefits similar to those of bituminous shingles and is particularly suitable for low-pitched roofs. In these cases, bituminous shingles are not usable.

Metal Roofing

Galvanized steel roofing is a common and durable solution used in many constructions. This type of roof covering involves the use of galvanized steel sheets, which are steel sheets coated with zinc to protect them from corrosion.
Features and benefits of galvanized steel roofing:

1. Durability: Galvanized sheets are extremely resistant to corrosion and weather conditions, making them ideal for roofing applications. They can last many years without requiring maintenance.

2. Cost-effective: Galvanized sheets are often less expensive than other roofing options, making them an economical choice for many constructions.

3. Lightweight: They are lightweight, making transportation and installation easier.

4. Weather-resistant: Galvanized sheets perform well under adverse weather conditions, including rain, snow, wind, and sun.

5. Compatibility with solar solutions: They are suitable for installing solar panels on the roof if necessary.

6. Sustainability: Galvanized sheets can be recycled at the end of their lifecycle, making this option more sustainable.

7. Variety of designs: Galvanized sheets can be painted in various colors or treated with special coatings to achieve different appearances.

We provide galvanized sheets manufactured by Ruukki.

Ruukki is the only company that manages the entire steel roof production chain: it uses robust S280GD steel produced in its Finnish foundries, coated with a zinc layer of at least 275 g/m², free from harmful heavy metals.

We offer one of the most popular roof profiles, the Ruukki Monterrey, which has been significantly improved! Its waves have become slightly higher and more pronounced, and the Ruukki FEB Forma® technology is used for the front edge.

Ruukki FEB Forma® is a patented technology that gives the roof a more pronounced and finished appearance. With rounded edges and no visible sharp edges, the roofing material appears significantly thicker, is more durable, and safer. The cut edge of the steel sheet is always folded inward, protecting it from direct atmospheric impact, which greatly reduces the risk of corrosion and increases the overall lifespan of the roof.

In summary, the roof covering of a wooden building is crucial for its structural integrity, protection against water and weather conditions, thermal insulation, energy efficiency, durability, and the overall aesthetic of the building. The precise choice of materials and roof design is essential to ensure a functional, attractive, and long-lasting building.
